GREATNESS THROUGH SERVICE

Dear Parishioners,

This autumn, I asked Archbishop Listecki to permit me to retire from my pastorate in June 2019. I did this because I turn 68 this month, the age at which a priest is allowed to retire, and I have had physical limitations to my ability to serve St. Gregory the Great Parish as it should be served. Recently, he has granted my request.

I wanted you to hear this from me; you are my family of faith. Soon, it will become public knowledge when the pastorate here is "Open Listed" by the Priest Placement Board of the Archdiocese, beginning the process of appointing a new pastor or parish director to replace me.

I will be with you until mid-June and look forward to celebrating the beautiful, life-giving seasons of Advent and Christmas, Lent and Easter with you. As always, you are in my prayers, please pray for me.

One with you in the service of the Lord and His Church,

Fr. Tom Demse, Pastor
