Important Message on the Return to Mass

Dear Parishioners,

COVID-19 has brought with it many changes that seem surreal and counter-intuitive to our nature as a faith community. We are a people that longs to be together!  I am pleased to announce that Archbishop Listecki has provided directives for the gradual reopening of our parishes effective Pentecost Weekend-May 30/31st.  For St. Greg’s, we will begin by celebrating two Masses-4pm Saturday and 9am Sunday.  This is to ensure that strict sanitation protocols will be met for the protection of all parishioners. The decision was made in consultation with parish staff and the pastoral council.  This is a fluid situation that requires understanding and flexibility for all of us, and we hope that by providing these directives you will feel better prepared for our return to the celebration of public Masses.

Please read the directives carefully as they contain many important details.  Click Here For Directives

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Todd

This Sunday is Trinity Sunday.  Here is  a Family Prayer Sheet you can use with your children to say a special prayer to the Trinity.  Take some time to talk about the trinity.  Help children find a three leaf clover as a reminder of the Holy Trinity.

Parents, are struggling to find ways to explain to your children about what has been going on in the news?  How do we help our children know what the Catholic response should be?  Here is a poster simply explaining the seven themes of Catholic Social Teaching.

Two Feet of Love in Action

Catholic disciples on mission are called to put Two Feet of Love in Action! This foundational tool describes two distinct, but complementary, ways we can put the Gospel in action in response to God's love: social justice (addressing systemic, root causes of problems that affect many people) and charitable works (short-term, emergency assistance for individuals).

The United States Catholic Conference of Bishops (USCCB) have a lesson on Two Feet of Love in Action for teens on the page linked above as well as information and activities for three books that were published by Loyola Press in collaboration with the USCCB for elementary students with activities to help them understand the Two Feet of Love in Action.

After discussing with your family, look at ways that you as a family can put Two Feet of Love in Action.  What are some peaceful ways your family can help those that face injustice?
