ARISE Component 1: Children & Teens

Children and teenage students each meet for one-on-one instruction from a catechist in a classroom, and then as a group for a Gathering Prayer Service in the church. Most often, catechists adapt the teaching materials to meet the individual learning needs of the student. Series currently being used are: "I am Special", "This is Our Faith", “Welcome to the Lord’s Table” and “Gifted with the Spirit Confirmation”.

In addition, students are prepared for the celebration of First Eucharist, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation.

While being sensitive to the special educational needs of our students, we are also committed to integrating these student and their families into regular religious education and sacramental preparation programs in their home parishes when appropriate.

Currently classes are held on Monday evenings, 6:30-7:30 p.m., October through May at St. Gregory the Great School.
